Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking a Per Diem Patient Access Representative for Rehab services at the Hanover Street location in Fall River, MA. The role supports patient intake and care coordination within Rehabilitation Services, functioning under supervision of the Rehab Operations team.

Ideal candidates will have strong customer service skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and proficiency with computers and keyboarding.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED is required.
• Associate’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Proficient keyboarding skills essential.
• Computer experience a must.

Hours: Per Diem

Shift: Day shift; 9:00am - 5:30pm

Location: Outpatient Rehab Hanover St. – Fall River, MA

Responsibilities

Under general supervision of the Team Leader, Rehab Operations, perform a variety of office support, coordination of various patient care processes and other related duties in accordance with established Rehabilitation Services department policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED is required.
• Associate’s Degree preferred or equivalent demonstrated work experience.
• Duties require knowledge of medical terminology.
• Proficient keyboarding skills are essential.
• Computer experience a must.
• Must possess strong reasoning and critical thinking skills and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with the ability to multitask throughout the business day.
• Exceptional customer service skills are required.
• Over three years of related medical office work experience is required.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID‑19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
• Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
