Pay Range

This range is provided by St. Louis Children's Hospital. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Base pay range

$15.00/hr - $23.88/hr

Role Details

Children's After Hours Clinic in O'Fallon, Mo. is seeking a Patient Access Representative to work part time. Reliable transportation is required for potential coverage at other locations.

Schedule: Part time 3:30 PM-12 AM during weekdays, or 11:30 AM-8 PM on weekends. 3 days a week, rotating weekends. Some holidays required. (Closed on Christmas and Thanksgiving)

Preferred Qualifications

Responsibilities
  1. Register and schedule patients, verify insurance, scan documents, and ensure accurate records within BJC systems. Provide patients with instructions and financial information.
  2. Ensure compliance with regulations like Medicare Secondary Payer, HIPAA, and others. Maintain HIPAA acknowledgements for patients.
  3. Use critical thinking to respond to patient needs, communicate professionally, and ensure a positive experience. Maintain high standards of accuracy and serve as a mentor to less experienced staff.
  4. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring alertness and safe work practices.
