Job summary

Calvert Health System is seeking a customer-focused professional to support admission, registration and discharge processes with exceptional service.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and at least 6 months in a healthcare-related customer service role. Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office, plus knowledge of insurance and medical terminology, is valued.

Qualifications

  • 6 months of experience in a customer service position, preferably in healthcare.
  • Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with policy GA-057.
  • Basic computer skills including Windows, Microsoft Office, and internal computer systems.
  • Basic knowledge of insurance plans, coverage types and medical terminology.
  • Able to multi-task with numerous interruptions.
  • Effective communication with all levels of staff and departments.

Job description

Protects patient and hospital interests through excellent customer service for each patient, family member, visitor and staff during admission, registration and discharge processes and other duties as assigned.

6 months of experience in a customer service position, preferably in healthcare.
