Qualifications

• No experience required.
• Medical Terminology; CHAT; computer knowledge and strong computer/keyboard skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all patient registration activities: greet patients, pre-register, obtain demographics and insurance information, contact precertification agencies when appropriate.
• Register ED patients for ED services.
• Register patients for ancillary testing, outpatient procedures, or hospital admission.
• Verify insurance benefits.
• Collect deposits and co-pays and coordinate with Insurance Verification team as needed.
• Provide admitting documentation for ED patients to clinical staff and discuss payment arrangements as appropriate.
