Beth Israel Lahey Health Behavioral Services seeks a Patient Access Representative to support our Behavioral Health programs. The role ensures a welcoming patient experience, secures demographic and financial data, and supports full reimbursement of clinical services.

Remote position with a Monday–Friday 10:00 AM–6:00 PM schedule and every other Sunday. Prioritizes first-call resolution and strong customer service in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years of healthcare, patient access, registration, or customer service experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and verify demographic and insurance information.
• Confirm insurance eligibility and apply appropriate coverage and guarantor information.
• Communicate financial responsibility and refer patients to Financial Counseling as needed.
• Serve as a liaison between Behavioral Health programs and Patient Access.
• Coordinate coverage changes and authorization updates.
• Maintain accurate records within the electronic health record (EHR) system.

This role is responsible for ensuring that the patient experience in accessing care at BILH BS is efficient and welcoming, and that patient confidentiality is respected and patient safety is preserved. Ensures that all proper patient financial and demographic information is obtained and processed so BILH BS is fully reimbursed for clinical services provided.
