Franciscan Medical Group, as part of Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, is currently looking for a full-time Patient Access Representative for the fast-paced Franciscan Urgent Care Clinic in Burien, WA. Job Summary:
This role involves performing various administrative duties related to patient intake at the Franciscan Medical Group outpatient clinics, following internal guidelines and procedures. The incumbent interacts directly with patients at the front desk and/or over the phone to:
This position requires critical thinking, attentive listening to meet patient needs with multiple options and solutions, knowledge of insurance authorization and billing, confidentiality practices, and medical terminology. Effective communication channels are essential for routine problem-solving and escalation to management. Strong customer service skills are required to provide the highest level of service consistently.
Work may involve behind-the-scenes tasks, phone interactions, or direct patient engagement at the front desk.
Education/Work Experience: Minimum of one year of customer service experience required; two years preferred. Healthcare or call center experience is advantageous.
