Job summary

UC Health's University of Cincinnati Medical Center seeks an Access Representative in the Admitting & Registration Department on a part-time shift to support patient intake and ensure accurate data capture. You will verify identities, collect demographics and insurance information, set up registration, obtain signatures, and manage MSP and Advance Directives questionnaires to ensure proper coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Analytical skills; able to problem solve.
• Computer literacy.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills when dealing with customers.
• 1–3 years of experience in registration, billing, or customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create Epic accounts from scheduling appointment and verify demographics and insurance information.
• Answer questions regarding appointments or transfers to the appropriate scheduling department, service area, or physician office.
• Code Daily Worklist according to Worklist Coding Standards and ensure accuracy with LastWord documentation.
• Maintain productivity and quality standards in the Access Unit and report improvements as needed.
