Job summary

Trinity Health in Hartford, CT is seeking a Patient Access specialist to join the Radiology Arrival team in the Comprehensive Women’s Center. This full-time, 32-hour position handles pre-registration, insurance questions, payments and accurate demographic capture to support smooth patient flow.

Training/orientation is 2 weeks, Mon–Fri 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., with some time in Springfield, MA. Benefits and health insurance start day one.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurances preferred.
• Patient access hospital experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle pre-registration process for patient admissions.
• Obtain approvals and payments on site.
• Explain insurance and patient liability; refer patients for financial counseling when needed.
• Enter/update patient demographics and insurance information; post payments and reconcile records.
