Job summary

Providence Swedish seeks a patient registration professional to coordinate information flow for admitted patients in the Swedish Medical Center and Emergency Department. You will provide front line reception and registration, interview patients and families for demographic and financial data, and facilitate billing questions.

As part of the POS team, you’ll ensure timely, accurate patient information, assist with financial aid processes, and support coverage coordination with physician offices.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree
• 2 years of experience in a medical setting with inpatient or outpatient admitting
• Patient Registration or financial counseling or insurance and medical terminology experience

Responsibilities

• Coordinate information flow for the movement and flow of patients in the Swedish Medical Center and Emergency Department environment.
• Provide front line customer service including reception and Registration.
• Interview patients and families to obtain demographic and financial data, complete consents, escort/direct patients, and collect valuables and deposits.
