Job summary

Qualifications

• Customer service and clerical experience in healthcare preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Terminology preferred; typing speed of at least 30 WPM; Windows 95 typing proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Identify patients accurately and verify identity to ensure proper record creation.
• Gather demographic and financial information to register patients in the HIS.
• Maintain room/bed/location control and admissions notifications with appropriate staff.
• Ensure consent forms are signed and properly maintained in records.
• Explain copay/deductible responsibilities and provide required compliance documents to patients.
• Communicate with patients and colleagues to ensure smooth registrations and high service levels.
