Responsibilities

• Accurately inputs all required data elements for scheduling and registration.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and obtains necessary authorizations.
• Calculates and collects the estimated patient portion based on benefits and contracts.
• Performs financial assessment for program assistance.
• Communicates the purpose and obtains signatures on hospital documents.
• Represents the Patient Access department professionally and courteously.
• Supports department in achieving performance targets.
• Maintains standard processes and participates in 5S workplace practices.
• Coordinates workflow to manage fluctuating volumes and provides feedback for improvements.
