Job summary

Penn State Health in Lancaster is seeking a Community Hospital Registration Associate to support the revenue cycle by accurately pre-registering and registering patients for inpatient and outpatient services.

You will verify insurance, confirm eligibility, and ensure correct visit conversions in the billing system while delivering compassionate, customer-focused service across departments, including Emergency, Surgery, Endoscopy, Radiology and Lab.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months minimum in a customer service setting.
• Preferred: medical terminology and Revenue Cycle experience.
• Preferred: medical health insurance knowledge.
• Preferred: medical billing and coding.

Responsibilities

• Secure all information required to accurately complete patient pre-registration and registration.
• Verify insurance and benefit eligibility.
• Review admissions, observations, surgical day care visits, ED visits and outpatient services for proper billing.
• Register patients across departments including Emergency Department, Surgery, Endoscopy, Radiology and Laboratory.
