Responsibilities

• Courteously admit and register patients, accurately collecting and recording demographic, financial and insurance information in the electronic medical record system.
• Verify insurance eligibility, obtain authorizations/referrals, and ensure correct billing by using online tools and phone verification.
• Manage and resolve registration errors promptly by reviewing and addressing daily work queues.
• Utilize Epic system for registration tasks including check-in, encounter verification and downtime procedures.
• Provide exceptional customer service following AIDET principles and assist patients, visitors and staff as needed.
• Participate in training, support team skill development, and update standard work procedures.
• Engage in continuous process improvement through Lean/Kaizen principles, huddles and quality assurance activities.
