Community Health Centers of the Rutland Regio in Rutland, VT seeks a part-time Patient Access Center Clinical Medical Assistant (24 hours/week) to support refill requests and patient access workflows. The role emphasizes accurate refill processing, timely communication, and coordination with providers, pharmacies, and clinical staff.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and 1+ year in healthcare or customer service, with preferred MA certification and EHR experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant Certification or equivalent healthcare experience preferred.
• Minimum of one year of healthcare, medical office, patient access, or customer service experience preferred.
• Experience working within an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, prescription refill processes, and healthcare workflows preferred.

Responsibilities

• Refill Management: Manage medication refill requests and related patient inquiries.
• Patient Access Support: Answer calls professionally and route inquiries to the appropriate department.
• Care Coordination: Collaborate with providers, nursing staff, pharmacies, and other departments to ensure continuity of patient care.
• Additional Responsibilities: Maintain confidentiality and support meetings, training, and quality initiatives.
