Qualifications

• One year hospital admission experience including interviewing patients.
• Knowledge of COBRA, Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA in hospital intake.
• Typing 40 wpm; proficient in Windows-based systems.
• Willing to work shifts; 24/7 hospital operations.

Responsibilities

• Admit patients by securing demographic and financial information and inputting into the hospital system.
• Secure insurance benefits and arrange for payment methods not covered by insurance.
• Assist with patient registration and related clerical tasks.
• Answer switchboard and operate hospital communication equipment.
