Job summary

Loyola Medicine, part of Trinity Health, is seeking a Patient Access Representative I for the day shift in the Chicago western suburbs. You will screen calls, route appointments, and support physician messaging from the main campus and affiliated hospitals.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and at least 1 year of related experience with strong communication and data-entry accuracy. Bilingual abilities (Polish or Spanish) are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience.
• Demonstrated customer service excellence.
• Strong communication, customer service and data-entry accuracy.
• Preferred: Fluency in Polish or Spanish; healthcare or call center experience.

Responsibilities

• Call Handling & Scheduling: screen, route, and schedule appointments; provide information.
• Physician answering service: triage calls, relay messages, paging or conference calls.
• Emergency response: document calls and support notification procedures.
• Quality & training: maintain service standards and participate in training.

Key Responsibilities

• Call Handling & Scheduling: Screen and route calls, provide information, and schedule, confirm, or cancel appointments using established protocols, including after-hours support.
• Physician Answering Service: Triage calls for physicians, take and relay messages, and initiate paging or conference calls as needed.
• Emergency Response: Support emergency communications by executing notification procedures and documenting incoming calls.
• Quality & Training: Maintain high-quality service standards, meet performance metrics, and participate in ongoing training and team collaboration.

What you’ll need for this job:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of job related experience
• Strong communication, customer service, and data-entry accuracy skills.
• Required: Demonstrated customer service excellence
• Preferred: Fluency in 2nd language (Polish or Spanish) Preferred: Call Center and/or Healthcare experience

Compensation

Pay Range: $15.76- $22.11 per hour

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
