Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Revenue Cycle Management Supervisor to oversee patient access workflows, registration, and insurance verification in a healthcare setting. You will mentor teams, drive process improvements, and ensure HIPAA compliance across UCFS clinics in CT.

The role requires 3–5 years in RCM, 2+ years in a supervisory position, and experience with EPIC and EHRs. Travel to Colchester, Griswold, Norwich, and New London may be required.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in health administration or related field.
  • 3-5 years of Revenue Cycle Management experience.
  • 2+ years in supervisory/management role in Revenue Cycle Management.
  • Experience with EHR systems, preferably EPIC.
  • FQHC experience preferred.
  • Ability to write and run workbench reports and dashboards.
  • Willingness to travel to UCFS sites in Colchester, Griswold, Norwich, and New London, CT.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all front-end workflows by ensuring accuracy of patient information in the EHR.
  • Coach and mentor Patient Access teams; supervise hiring, onboarding, training, discipline, and performance management.
  • Implement and streamline patient registration, insurance verification, and financial clearance processes.
  • Serve as primary liaison for Operations and Clinical teams to resolve patient access issues quickly.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations including HIPAA.
  • Supervise insurance verification and authorization to confirm coverage and benefits.
  • Develop and maintain policies for patient access, registration, and insurance verification.
  • Collaborate with clinical and admin departments to optimize scheduling practices.
  • Track and analyze Patient Access KPIs to identify improvements and efficiency gains.
  • Stay updated on industry trends in FQHC Revenue Cycle Management.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for overseeing all front-end workflows by monitoring accuracy of patient information including demographic and insurance information into the EHR
  • Coaches and mentors all Patient Access teams towards providing exceptional service; conduct hiring, onboarding, training, discipline, performance management, and related routine personnel operations.
  • Implement and streamline processes related to patient registration, insurance verification, and financial clearance.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for Operations and Clinical teams, providing quick resolutions surrounding patient access issues.
  • Ensures all staff are compliant with relevant healthcare regulations including HIPAA.
  • Supervise the insurance verification and authorization process, ensuring accurate and timely confirmation of patient coverage and benefits.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures related to patient access, registration, and insurance verification.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative departments to optimize scheduling practices.
  • Track, monitor, and analyze Patient Access KPIs to identify areas of improvement and efficiency gains.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to FQHC Revenue Cycle Management
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in health administration or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in Revenue Cycle Management
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory or management role in Revenue Cycle Management
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and practice management software, preferably EPIC
  • Strong working knowledge of Revenue Cycle Management in a healthcare setting specifically in patient access, registration, and insurance verification.
  • FQHC experience is highly preferred
  • Ability to write and run various workbench reports and dashboards to monitor activity and identify trends
  • Access to transportation for travel to other UCFS sites in Colchester, Griswold, Norwich, and New London, CT as needed
