Job summary

Jupiter Medical Center Physicians Group, Inc. seeks a Patient Access Supervisor for the Breast Center. You will lead the access team, train staff, manage scheduling in EPIC, and ensure accurate registrations with insurance verification.

The role supports department leaders, coordinates resources for exams, and ensures compliance with JMCPG/JMC policies while delivering quality patient service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; allied health credentials preferred.
• Two years healthcare contact center or outpatient experience required.
• Familiarity with Medicare/third-party payor requirements preferred.
• Knowledge of outpatient procedures and medical terminology required.
• Strong communication, organization and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Patient Access staff and oversee daily workflows.
• Train new Patient Access personnel and address staffing concerns.
• Assign tasks, evaluate workload and arrange coverage as needed.
• Manage EPIC schedules, templates, and appointment confirmations.
• Collect demographic, insurance, and clinical data for registrations.
• Perform insurance verification, data entry and documentation.
• Identify patient financial responsibilities and collect payments.
• Liaise with internal and external customers to facilitate access.
• Contact insurers for verification of benefits and authorization.
• Coordinate physicians, staff, and equipment for exams.
• Pre-register and verify patient appointments for services.
• Adhere to JMCPG and JMC policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
