Job summary

Norman Regional is seeking a Patient Access Clerk to support front desk operations in a busy clinic. You will check in/out patients, verify insurance, collect payments, and help maintain smooth clinic flow. You will manage documents accurately and provide feedback for process improvements.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, basic computer skills, and at least one year of clerical or health-care experience. Familiarity with medical terminology or EMR systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Preferred education in medical terminology, EMR training, or business courses.
• One year clerical and six months health-care experience required.
• Excellent customer relations and telephone skills required.
• Accurate keyboard with 40 wpm.
• Experience in medical office or insurance processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtains all patient and insurance information and check in/out patients.
• Performs insurance verification and patient payment collection.
• Supports effective and efficient patient care and clinic flow.
• Manages documents appropriately.
• Provides feedback for continuous improvement.
• Receives direction and ensures timely follow-through of assignments.
