Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida seeks a PRN healthcare access specialist to perform Medicare compliance reviews, estimate patient financial responsibility, and coordinate pre-authorizations. You will register patients, verify demographics and insurance, and ensure accurate billing and documentation while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include cashiering, PBX coverage, and collaboration with clinical and patient access teams to improve the patient experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
• Experience in patient access or revenue cycle is a plus.
• Knowledge of insurance benefits and eligibility helpful.

Responsibilities

• Perform Medicare compliance reviews and issue ABNs as needed.
• Create estimates of patient financial responsibility and collect payments or set up payment plans.
• Coordinate with utilization management for pre-authorization issues and provide logistical information to patients.
• Register patients for services and collect demographic and insurance information.
• Provide excellent customer service and document payer conversations and payment arrangements.
• Answer phones, assist with PBX and perform cashiering tasks with accuracy.
