Job summary

Cox Barton County Hospital in Lamar, Missouri seeks a Registration Specialist II to assist patients at on-site registration for scheduled and unscheduled visits, collecting demographic and insurance information and handling patient financial obligations at the time of service. Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 1+ year in patient registration or related role preferred.
• Skills: excellent customer service and communication, able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Register patients for on-site visits, both scheduled and unscheduled.
• Collect accurate demographic and insurance information.
• Handle patient financial obligations at the time of service and assist with financial clearance.
• Greet and assist patients and staff professionally; may travel between sites and work extended hours as needed.
