BHMG Urgent Care Shelbyville

Position: PRN Patient Access Coordinator (PAC)

Responsibilities:

1. Make patient appointments and reminder calls.
2. Greet and register all patients.
3. Verify demographic and insurance information and enter it into the appropriate system/patient record.
4. Collect co-pays and other payments; prepare daily deposit and reconciliation reports.
5. Receive and relay phone messages accurately to and from providers; log communications appropriately.
6. Provide clerical support, including typing correspondence and reports, sorting and delivering mail, processing faxes, and maintaining supplies.

Minimum Education, Experience, Training, and Licensures Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Computer skills required; medical terminology skills preferred.
• Prior medical office experience preferred.
