Our two campuses in Methuen and Haverhill have a total of 320 beds, and we are a full-service, acute care hospital offering comprehensive inpatient medical/surgical units, outpatient care, and 24/7 emergency services. We have three behavioral health units: cardiac telemetry, and critical care service lines. Our Haverhill campus offers all private rooms, and our Methuen campus offers a new state-of-the-art catheterization suite and Joint Center of Excellence, named as a Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Distinction+ Center for Knee and Hip Replacement.

Position Summary:

Summary:

Arranges for the efficient and orderly admission of inpatients and registration of individuals who have hospital-based outpatient testing or procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that patient information is collected and that patients are aware of hospital policies and procedures.
  • Interviews incoming patients or representatives and enters information required for admission into the computer database.
  • Distributes appropriate information to ancillary departments.
  • Participates in performance improvement and CQI activities.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with individuals at all levels.
  • Excellent customer service skills are required.
  • Treats patients/families professionally, with respect and dignity
  • Demonstrates the ability to be flexible, organized and function under stressful situations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
