Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking a part-time Patient Access Representative to support the registration and billing process for patients at Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT. Training/orientation is provided for two weeks, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.

to 4:30 p.m., with a per-diem shift pattern and occasional weekends. The role involves pre-registration, on-site approvals and payments, and informing patients about coverage and liability while updating demographic data and posting

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurances.
• Patient access hospital experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pre-registration of patient admissions.
• Obtain approvals and payments on site.
• Explain insurance and patient liability; refer to financial counseling as needed.
• Enter/update patient demographics, including insurance and liability; post payments and reconcile.
