The Cleveland Clinic Health System in Mansfield, OH is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator to oversee daily activities in the patient access area, delivering compassionate, professional service to patients, families and visitors.

Work hours are 8:00am–5:00pm on dayshift, with opportunities to grow within a nationally recognized healthcare organization that prioritizes patient-first care and strong customer service.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2 years of Cleveland Clinic outpatient scheduling experience or equivalent, including interaction with patients, physicians, and other departments for problem resolution.
  • 3 years of external outpatient scheduling experience, including resolving patient scheduling and coordinating work of others.
  • Associate degree and one year of experience OR Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and coordinate the activities and flow of the patient access area.
  • Develop, implement and oversee programs to improve appointment utilization (reminder, follow-up on no-show/cancellation).
  • Coordinate activities and resolve operational problems.
  • Adjust employees, patients and physicians' schedules to respond to operational problems.
  • Control and audit the reconciliation of daysheets, updating statistics in the data bank.
  • Produce reports as needed.

Education

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two yearsofCleveland Clinic outpatient scheduling experience or equivalent,includinginteracting with patients,physicians,and other departments on a problem resolution basis
  • OR three yearsofexternal outpatient scheduling experience, includingresolving patient scheduling and the coordination of the work of others
  • ORAssociateDegreeand one year ofexperience
  • ORBachelor's Degree

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires frequent data entry, sitting, standing and walking. Normal or corrected vision, hearing and speech. Occasional lifting or pushing up to 25 pounds.

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
