Prosser Memorial Health is seeking a seasoned Patient Access Leader to guide the scheduling, registration, referrals, and authorization functions across hospital and clinics. You will collaborate with directors and frontline staff to optimize workflows, ensure accurate patient data in the EHR, and maintain high-quality customer service throughout the patient care experience.

Lead the patient access team and underlying functions, including scheduling, registration, referrals, authorizations and call center. This role is responsible for overseeing the flow of patients through the hospital and clinics. Collaborates with the Director, coordinators and staff to support needs and ensure proper support and customer service as well as providing expertise on patient access workflows. Works with the Patient Access Trainers, Clinic PSR leads and Clinic Directors to ensure that the team members receive patient access specific training and updates when changes to standards occur.Develops and maintains workflows to ensure all patient demographic and insurance information is correctly entered in the HER, scheduling is completed accurately, referrals are processed timely and routed appropriately and communication between the patient access team members and clinical departments is successful and efficient. Conducts audits, review key performance indicators, monitors dashboards and reports, and acts on the information tooptimize department functions and resolve problems. Oversees the work ques of the Patient Access team in partnership with the Patient Access Trainers to ensure work is completed in a timely manner. Works with the Patient Access director, Revenue Cycle Director and Clinic Directors to resolve claims issues and implement process improvements. Ensure patients are supported through the entire patient care experience by providing excellent quality and compassionate customer service.
Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare administration with focus on patient access or registration. Two years lead or supervisory experience.
Experience in Critical Access Hospitals or Rural Health Clinics preferred.
AAHAM Certification preferred at time of hire or achieved in first year of employment required.
BLS certificate encouraged.
