Job summary

You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced hospital environment, maintain accurate medical records, schedule services, and provide courteous, responsive service to patients and families

Qualifications

• High School diploma; Prefer one year of hospital or clinic revenue cycle experience.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with customers in hospital and clinic environments.
• Basic keyboard/typing skills; Basic computer skills; Calculator skills.

Responsibilities

• Interviews and obtains information to register or admit patients and obtains signatures for treatment and reimbursement.
• Verifies third party payer coverage and collects self-pay balances; schedules services and enrolls patients for appointments.
• Enters/updates demographic and billing information; ensures pre-authorizations are obtained and handles self-pay workflows.
• Supports day-to-day operations in a health care environment and maintains patient records and billing postings.
• Provides scheduling or patient enrollment for services and refers customers to appropriate resources.
