Job summary

AdventHealth Wesley Chapel is seeking a patient access professional to support Medicare compliance, estimate patient financial responsibility, and coordinate pre-authorizations.

You will register patients, verify insurance, and ensure accurate data while collaborating with clinical and ancillary teams to enhance the patient experience. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred for better patient access and service.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in Customer Service in healthcare preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicare/insurance terminology a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs Medicare compliance reviews and issues Advance Beneficiary Notices as needed.
• Creates accurate estimates for patient financial responsibility and collects payments or sets up payment plans.
• Coordinates with utilization management for pre-authorization issues.
• Verifies eligibility with insurance and obtains pre-authorizations within timeframes.
• Registers patients for services and maintains accurate records.
• Collects demographic and insurance information from patients.
• Provides coverage for PBX as needed and performs cashiering duties.
