Job summary

BAART Programs in Port Angeles is seeking a Patient Access Representative / Patient Account Representative to perform billing and account tasks in a clinic setting. The role focuses on verification of invoices and maintaining third party billing records.

Responsibilities include insurance verification, posting payments, resolving billing issues, and coordinating with payers and patients to ensure timely reimbursements while maintaining confidentiality of patient records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years’ prior medical office experience.
• Knowledge of Medicaid, PAC and commercial insurance preferred.
• Excellent customer service and professional telephone etiquette.
• Ability to use basic PC software and office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Review, maintain, and process patient account records and transactions.
• Verify insurance benefits and billing information; annotate accounts.
• Contact third party payers for payment post billing and resolve billing issues.
• Reconcile daily money, maintain confidentiality of records, and backup receptionist duties.
