Job summary

CHRISTUS Health seeks an organized front desk/clerical specialist for the Family Health Center in Alamogordo, NM. You will welcome patients, assist with registrations, post charges, and verify demographics using the hospital system.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to register patients and post charges accurately.
• Familiarity with insurance verification and billing processes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor debit/credit of client accounts.
• Post transactions to accounts receivable system and review billing.
• Resolve inquiries/complaints on billing transactions.
• Perform order entry, registration and other clerical duties.
• Train clerical staff in registration and printing of patient reports.
• Additional clerical duties: insurance verification, stats recording, patient registration and updating accounts.
• Assist with scheduling appointments, answer phones, and explain benefits.
• Complete other duties as needed.
