Responsibilities

• Record insurance information and obtain pre-approval for treatment if needed.
• Relay information between patients and staff and provide updates as needed.
• Prioritize care so the most critical patients are seen first.
• Maintain paper and electronic medical records; update as needed.
• Provide information to insurance companies to assist with billing.
• Assist patients at checkout and ensure post-treatment instructions are given.
• Refer individuals to outside agencies when needs cannot be met.
• Calculate payment information; accept funds and credit accounts accordingly.
