Job summary

Duke University Health System is seeking a patient services professional within the Patient Revenue Management Organization to support daily clinic operations and revenue cycle activities. You will coordinate patient check-in/out, scheduling, charge posting, and patient communications while delivering high-quality service and maintaining accuracy in Maestro Care.

The onsite schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM to 4:15 PM or 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and you will collaborate with clinical staff to ensure

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic PC and data entry skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and telephone etiquette.
• Able to organize, prioritize work and maintain professional relationships.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for clinic visits by reviewing next day patients and completing prep activities.
• Enter pre-visit orders and prepare new patient charts; manage records and charts.
• Check-in and check-out patients; verify demographic data and schedule tests.
• Explain billing concepts and collect co-payments according to policies.
