The Admitting Department is committed to providing outstanding customer service and registration support to our patients, families, and the departments we serve. We focus on patient satisfaction and are dedicated to achieving that through teamwork.

Responsibilities:

  1. Register hospital patients accurately and timely.
  2. Stay updated on insurance plan requirements related to referrals and point of service collections.
  3. Communicate changes to registration staff and train new employees as needed.
  4. Ensure high-quality service and accurate information during pre and post visits.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required; Associate Degree preferred.
  • Two years of patient access experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Experience handling registration, pre-registration, insurance verification, copayment determination, and related services.
  • Two years of customer service experience required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, third-party plans, medical billing, and collections.
  • Proficiency in Google Office and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Epic systems (Grand Central, Prelude, EMR) preferred.
