Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare Corporate in Georgia is seeking a Patient Access Associate to support the Patient Access Department. You will verify insurance, complete patient demographics and clinical data, and communicate financial responsibilities to patients and families.

You will calculate patient financial responsibility, present options, process payments, and secure consents on required forms. Epic experience is a plus; healthcare revenue cycle background preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• 1 year experience in healthcare revenue cycle or related clinical/clerical roles.
• 3 years of healthcare revenue cycle experience preferred.
• Epic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves as patient facing support for the Patient Access Department within Piedmont Healthcare.
• Ensures patient accounts are complete with valid insurance coverage and current demographic/clinical data.
• Calculates patient financial responsibility, presents patient financial options/requirements and processes patient payments.
• Secures patient consent and acknowledgement on required forms/notices.

Work Experience

• Healthcare Revenue Cycle Required or
• Clinical role Required or
• Related clerical accounting/finance/retail Required or
• 3 years of healthcare Revenue Cycle experience Preferred
• Prior Epic experience Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• Certification with Healthcare Financial Management Association Preferred or
• Certified Revenue Cycle Representative Preferred
