Job summary

AHMC Seton Medical Center and Seton Coastside are seeking a Registrar to coordinate all admitting registration activities. The role focuses on collecting accurate demographic and billing information, verifying insurance, and obtaining copays to ensure clean claims.

You will liaise with clinical staff to follow admission procedures and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. OSHPD reporting and privacy practices are essential to daily tasks.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Collect accurate demographic and billing data at registration. Maintain high accuracy and timely registrations.
• Explain forms and obtain necessary consents and advance directives.
• Understand EMTALA rules and insurance plans; obtain authorizations as needed.
• Determine insurance requirements for outpatient services and answer billing questions.
• Troubleshoot insurance issues and obtain benefit information for services.
• Coordinate with clinical staff and transfer calls to appropriate departments.
• Promote revenue targets and customer satisfaction through teamwork.
• Restock forms and supplies as needed.
