Job summary

Valley Health System is seeking a Patient Access Clerk to support the Patient Access Center across inpatient, outpatient, and ED departments. Responsibilities include reception, pre-registration, registration, cash collection, admitting, and patient education, with unit-specific tasks as needed.

Candidates should have a high school diploma (Associates preferred), CHAA certification preferred, and healthcare/customer service experience. Strong written and verbal communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience required.
• Computer experience and Windows knowledge.
• Customer service experience required.
• Medical office experience preferred.
• Medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reception, pre-registration and registration across departments.
• Cash collection and admitting responsibilities.
• Patient/department support and patient education.
• Materials/inventory management and unit-specific tasks.
