Texas Health Resources is seeking an Admissions Specialist I at Texas Health HEB in Bedford, TX. You will welcome patients, collect demographic information and verify insurance coverage to support accurate electronic health records and timely pre-certifications.

The role requires empathy, strong communication, data entry skills, and the ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism. Training includes Epic and Microsoft Office, with opportunities for growth in a supportive team

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
1 year of relevant customer service experience required.
2 years professional office/healthcare experience preferred.
CHAA and CPI certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

Welcome patients and families when they arrive, setting a calm tone for the visit.
Gather complete demographic information to ensure EHR accuracy.
Identify network coverage and obtain/validate benefits and pre-certifications.
Educate patients on legal, ethical, and compliance documents; ensure consents are signed.
Discuss financial obligations and prepare estimates for co-pays and balances.
Ensure MSPQ, IMM, and ABN processes are correctly completed.
