Pathology Support Technician, Per Diem, MMC

This is a per diem position at Morristown Medical Center.

Pay Range: $20.05/hr - $33.11/hr (based on skills and experience)

Job Responsibilities

• Receive and sort patient specimens and maintain patient data in the laboratory system.
• Communicate with patients and provide training as needed.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to resolve specimen handling issues, minimizing patient risk.
• Perform specimen accessioning, prepare specimens for pathology, and assist in procedural areas.
• Support laboratory operations by preparing frozen specimens and providing lab specimens across hospital areas.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred: Associate's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field.
• Experience in laboratory or pathology setting and familiarity with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) are preferred.
