Job summary

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with experimental preparation and routine lab techniques.
  • Experience with basic lab equipment maintenance and operation.
  • Knowledge of laboratory techniques and assays.
  • Ability to troubleshoot routine lab problems and collect data.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform clinical and/or research laboratory experiments by following common protocols independently or with instructions.
  • Learn techniques and methods of the lab using basic science knowledge.
  • Gain problem-solving skills through progressive training and experience.
  • Run lab tests and complete measurements.
  • Identify and resolve common problems in routine assays.
  • Train users in standard equipment operation and lab procedures.
  • Set-up experiments based on defined standards.
  • Collect project data and maintain equipment and inventory.
  • Perform related laboratory maintenance and ensure cleanliness of workspace.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.
