Pediatric Pathologist opportunity near Virginia Beach. Job ID# 73246

Job Details:

1. Board Certified/Eligible in Pediatric Pathology
2. The annual workload includes approximately 5,500 general pediatric surgical pathology cases, about 1,700 gastrointestinal biopsy accessions, around 20 autopsies, approximately 200 pediatric non-gynecology cytology cases (primarily CSF and BAL), and an average of 60 new malignancies, half of which are of hematologic origin.
3. Clinical pathology duties encompass sign-out of blood smears, bone marrow analysis, hemoglobin electrophoresis, involvement in transfusion services, and consultation with laboratory staff and clinicians. Familiarity with Cerner EMR is preferred.
4. Must be AP/CP certified.
