Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Pathology Laboratory Assistant II to perform clerical and technical duties in the Amory Lab at 75 Francis Street, Boston. You will assist with specimen labeling, processing and data entry, supporting technologists and clinicians throughout testing workflows.

The role requires a High School Diploma or Equivalent and 1–2 years of relevant experience. Strong communication, multitasking and teamwork skills are essential for success in a fast-paced hospital lab

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
1-2 years of laboratory, healthcare and/or customer service experience preferred.
Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact with lab staff and hospital customers.
Ability to multitask and work accurately under time constraints and heavy workloads.
Demonstrates dependability, reliability, accuracy, prioritization, problem solving and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Assist with labeling, preservation and fixation of specimens.
Work closely with technologists to ensure specimens are processed timely and accurately.
Monitor reagent and supply inventory.
Organize patient specimen and assay worksheets/printouts for testing and technologist review.
Use LIMS to upload documents and input critical data or comments.
Clean and maintain lab equipment.
