Mass General Brigham in Newton, MA is seeking a diligent Laboratory Assistant to support specimen handling and process workflows in our clinical lab. The role is onsite at 2 Wells Avenue and involves day shifts with a 40-hour work week.
You will label, preserve and prepare samples, work with technologists, manage inventory, and document data in our LIMS system throughout the day. This position emphasizes accuracy, safety, and teamwork across clinical staff.

Performs a variety of clerical and technical duties under general supervision. Reports to a Laboratory Supervisor. Responsibilities include receipt, accessioning, centrifugation and decanting of patient specimens, and communicating with clinicians at the Front Window and over the phone.

No Licenses and Credentials Experience Previous laboratory, healthcare and/or customer service experience 1-2 years required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Good interpersonal and communication skills so as to be able to interact effectively with individuals in the lab and the hospital. - Ability to multitask and work accurately under stress of time constraints and heavy workload demands. - Demonstrates excellent dependability, reliability, accuracy, prioritization ability, problem solving skills, customer service and teamwork.
