Job summary

Altasciences in Everett, Washington is seeking a Pathology Associate to provide high-quality processing of pathological specimens, including gross examinations, necropsies, tissue trimming and processing per SOPs.

The role requires a science background, basic computer skills, strong attention to detail and English proficiency. Training on SOPs and GLP is provided, with on-site work and a competitive hourly wage range.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher preferred; associates acceptable with related experience.
• 6 months to 1 year biology or lab experience.
• Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• Basic computer skills; MS Office required.
• Attention to detail and problem solving.
• On-Call policy participation and GLP training.

Responsibilities

• Train on core SOPs.
• Perform necropsies and tissue trimming.
• Weigh organs and prepare bone marrow smears.
• Use EDCS and maintain lab records.
• Quality check (QC) review and protocol adherence.
• Maintain necropsy suites and equipment.
• Assist with waste management and supply stocking.
• Attend protocol reviews and pre-necropsy meetings.
