Responsibilities

• Retrieve specimens and deliver to the lab.
• Process specimens according to section protocol.
• Prepare media, reagents and stains per protocol.
• Use HIS/LIS systems to generate logs and patient reports, order tests and enter data.
• Register patients in HIS and ensure correct billing information.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and equipment.
• Participate in quality control and QA activities.
• Attend continuing education as required (5 hours annually).
