Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Pathology Laboratory Assistant II to perform clerical and technical duties in the Newton lab. Responsibilities include specimen labeling, processing, data entry in LIMS, and inventory management.

The role collaborates with technologists to ensure timely, accurate processing and maintains equipment and supplies. Eligibility requires a high school diploma and 1–2 years of healthcare or lab experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with labeling, preservation and fixation of specimens.
• Work closely with technologists to ensure specimens are processed timely and accurately.
• Monitor reagent and supply inventory.
• Organize patient specimen and assay worksheets/printouts for testing and technologist review.
• Use LIMS to upload documents and input critical data or comments.
• Clean and maintain lab equipment.
• Rotate chemicals in all stainers and processors
• Stock lab supplies and track inventory
• Other lab related duties as needed
