Job summary

UC San Diego Health's Revenue Cycle department seeks a skilled medical coder to review outpatient CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes, interpret handwritten and typed notes, and resolve coding errors to ensure accurate claims. Under general supervision, you will apply coding knowledge to complex daily tasks and may have the ability to work remotely, depending on business needs and scheduling.

Required CPC or CCS certification, 3 years of coding experience with pathology/lab CPT/DX codes, and strong

• Must have three (3) years of coding experience (coding of anatomical pathology and lab CPT and DX codes).
• Strong skills in CPT, ICD-10, & HCPCS coding applications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $78,175 - $97,155 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $37.44 - $46.53

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
