Job summary

Nicklasstaffing is recruiting a Pathologists’ Assistant for a major academic medical center in Central Oklahoma. The position supports gross descriptions, frozen section preparation, autopsy services, and routine histology under supervision.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of laboratory technical experience; surgical pathology or grossing exposure is preferred. Schedule is Monday–Friday, day shift with autopsy call as needed.

Qualifications

• Autopsy experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform gross descriptions of simple and limited pathology specimens
• Assist with frozen tissue section preparation and staining
• Autopsy assistance and preparation
• Receive, identify, and process specimens
• Label tissue cassettes and maintain records
• Photograph specimens for documentation and conferences
• Follow hospital safety policies and PPE requirements
• Collaborate with pathologists and laboratory staff
