Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of a master's level NAACLS-accredited Pathologists' Assistant program.
• Attain PA Certification (ASCP) within one year of start date.
• ABMDI certification at Fellow (F-ABMDI) or Delegate (D-AMBDI) level preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform gross dissection of surgical specimens under pathologists’ supervision.
• Document findings and take gross specimen photographs as required.
• Select tissue for appropriate ancillary testing.
• Procure tissue for research protocols.
• Perform postmortem examinations and related duties including abstracting clinical history and preliminary diagnoses.
• Assist with training residents, fellows, and students; support research projects.
