Job summary

Cooper University Health Care is seeking an assistant to support Pathologists in surgical pathology, frozen sections, and autopsies. The role requires demonstrated capability to work without supervision while preparing and completing examinations of pathology specimens.

Education must include an associate degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from a NAACLS accredited program; a biology degree is preferred, and NAACLS pathologists' assistant certification is desirable.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from a NAACLS accredited institution.
• Baccalaureate degree in biology (or biological sciences) preferred.
• Completion of a NAACLS accredited pathologists' assistant program preferred.
• ASCP certification or eligibility preferred.
