Job summary

Brown Pathology in Katy, Texas seeks a Pathologists' Assistant for a full-time daytime role, Monday through Friday, in-person at our Katy location. Candidate must have NAACLS-accredited PA training and ASCP certification.

At least one year of experience with complex specimens is preferred, though recent graduates will be considered. Dragon voice recognition experience is a plus as well.

Qualifications

• Education: NAACLS-accredited Pathologists' Assistant training program.
• Certification: ASCP certification required.
• Experience: At least one year of experience with highly complex specimens preferred; recent graduates will be considered.
• Dragon voice recognition software experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform gross descriptions and complete dissections of simple and complex surgical specimens.
• Provide frozen section services.
• Assist with specialized procedures and projects as designated by the pathologists.
• Perform tissue procurement for special studies.
• Assist with conference preparation as needed.
• Coordinate gross room workflows and personnel to promote efficiency.
